Darwin Nunez secured a 2-0 win for Liverpool with a late touch after some confusion over Mo Salah’s opening goal.
The Uruguayan international finished from close range after Virgil van Dijk’s header from a corner was cleared off the line, leading to a mercifully shorter VAR review to confirm the authenticity of the shot.
It has been a big change from the former Benfica man who recorded his eight-goal contribution (in all competitions) at Anfield.
