Violence or the suggestion of potential violence in football should never be tolerated, regardless of whether it occurs before, during or after a match.
It’s a great shame that a handful of Napoli supporters with baseball bats were seen bullying locals in Liverpool city center ahead of Napoli’s Champions League encounter with Jurgen Klopp’s men.
We hope that those involved will move quickly, although it should be the responsibility of the Italian club to identify and punish those responsible.
