Peter Crouch admitted he would have been “furious” with Darwin Nunez if they had shared a pitch together during the 2-0 win over Napoli.
The former Rojo pointed to the moment the Uruguayan scored Liverpool’s last goal of the night when the ball appeared to slide over the line from Virgil van Dijk’s opening header.
To be fair to our talisman number 4, it seemed unlikely that Alex Meret or one of his teammates would have gotten close enough in time to clear the danger, although we can’t blame our potentially record-breaking signing for absolutely making sure the desired result.
