Manchester United defender Tyrell Malacia is going to Qatar!
Malacia was included in Louis van Gaal’s World Cup final squad and will be United’s sole representative after Donny van de Beek was left out.

As expected, Van de Beek was left out of Van Gaal. The midfielder was injured for much of this season and on his return he has hardly had an impact.
He started against Real Sociedad, and in both games against Aston Villa. In all three, he was bored in the middle of the park.
Malacia, on the other hand, has been exceptional since joining OId Trafford from Feyenoord in a £14.7m deal.
He lost his place in the team to a resurgent Luke Shaw, but whenever he has been called up, the full-back has been brilliant.
Against Aston Villa, in a 4-2 Carabao Cup win, Malacia put on a man-of-the-match performance.
Malacia, who is affectionately known as the “pit bull” for his aggressive and no-nonsense defense, took to social media to express his gratitude at being named to the Dutch team.
The 23-year-old said: “Proud to be selected for the World Cup.”

The 23-year-old may get another chance tomorrow to show Van Gaal his mettle and give him something to think about in regards to the player becoming a starter at the tournament.
United will be without the services of Diogo Dalot against Fulham. Malacia is widely expected to fill the right-back position in Dalot’s absence.
Malacia has played there before in a United shirt and was impressive. Erik ten Hag himself said that it is a position where the full-back can spread out and excel.
