Sky Sports journalist credits Allegri for transforming Juventus’ midfielder Rabiot

Arguably, Adrien Rabiot has been the most improved player in the Juventus squad this season after adding goals to his game.

The Frenchman has been an enigmatic player for much of his time in Turin and Max Allegri is often criticized by fans for continuing to give him chances.

However, the Bianconeri coach knows what the former PSG player brings to his team and remains faithful to the midfielder.

Rabiot is beginning to repay that faith in him and has been very helpful in keeping Juventus competitive this season.

Sky Sports Italia journalist Fabio Caressa has now credited Allegri with helping the midfielder turn his situation around.

He said via Tuttojuve:

“In the last year he has had a very important evolution, he seems to me to be a changed player. The credit certainly goes to Allegri and him. Perhaps, after the no from Manchester United, he understood that the path of self-exaltation that he had embarked on was not worth much.

“The call for the national team has arrived and it hasn’t done like the last World Cup. It seems to me that he has matured as a man and it shows on the pitch. He is no longer the player who plays for himself, but he plays for the team”.

Juve FC says

Allegri has displayed a stubbornness that benefits his players by continuing to select some underachievers.

They eventually start to get it right and that has been the case for Rabiot this season.

If the coach had listened to most of us, he could have sold Rabiot or at least reduced his playing time in the team.

Unfortunately, the midfielder could leave the club at the end of this season because his contract expires then.
