New hairstyles, New York & Disney! – Liverpool players enjoy time off before internationals – Liverpool FC

Without a Liverpool match over the weekend, several members of Jurgen Klopp’s squad enjoyed some time off before joining their nations for international duty.

In total, 12 members of the Reds senior team have been selected to represent their country, in what will be the last international break before the World Cup later this year.

But with Sunday’s scheduled Premier League match with Chelsea cancelled, some players took the opportunity to enjoy a break.

Kostas Tsimikas appears to have used the time off to perfect a Virgil van Dijk-esque hairstyle, posting a selfie of his new look on Sunday!

The left-back is expected to take part in Greece’s Nations League ties with Cyprus and Northern Ireland later this month.

Meanwhile, with Brazil facing Ghana and Tunisia in France, Roberto Firmino and his family visited Disneyland Paris over the weekend.

The Liverpool number 9 shared some particularly good photos of himself together with Mickey Mouse and Iron Man. Some inspiration for a new goal celebration, perhaps?

His compatriot Fabinho has been photographed on vacation in Portugal with his partner Rebeca Tavares, and the couple announced in July that they were expecting a baby.

Luis Diaz spent the weekend in New York with his young family, with the Liverpool winger set to play for Colombia in the US in the next two weeks.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah appears to have spent much of the weekend working out in the gym, posting various images of him hard at work over the course of the weekend. Typical Mo!

He should be involved when Egypt hosts Niger on Friday and Liberia next Tuesday.

Some have already joined their international teammates, Darwin Núñez shared several images of him participating in Uruguay training on Sunday.

Trent Alexander-Arnold will be part of the England squad to face Italy and Germany, but found time to attend Liverpool’s U18 clash with Man City on Saturday.

For those not called up by their country, the hard work will continue over the course of the next two weeks, with Arthur, Fabio Carvalho and Nat Phillips playing for the U21s against Leicester on Saturday.

Let’s hope everyone else makes it out of the internationals unscathed!
