Nathan Bishop reveals Erik ten Hag’s demand for David de Gea – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United goalkeeper Nathan Bishop has revealed that Erik ten Hag’s revolution extends to goalkeepers, starting with David de Gea, with the Dutch manager demanding more from his players.

Speaking to the Manchester Evening News, where Bishop indicated his desire to go on another loan spell, he spoke about the manager’s proactive philosophy.

Bishop said, “You know what? erik [Ten Hag] has entered, and has brought a philosophy [proactive].”

“When you see the way David is playing now, running and taking the ball, he’s coming from the first team.”

The 22-year-old hailed United’s goalkeeping union as the best in the world, sentiments he also had for the other veteran players.

The goalkeeper said he enjoyed the opportunity to train with such high caliber professionals, an experience he called “unreal”.

Bishop added: “As much as you learn in training, it’s always good to put it into practice in games and have players around you in the U-21s who are also having the same practice.”

Reflecting on last season’s triumph in which the player singled out Wembley as the highlight of his campaign, he said he could play every day given the chance.

“It’s [making several appearances] I think it was the best for me.”

“I would be open to going out on loan again, to being part of a team that really has to play for points.”

“But at the moment, I have a job to do, and that is to help the goalkeepers at the club and be the best I can for them.”

The United youngster was on loan at Mansfield last season.

As he successfully indicated, he helped the team to the League Two play-off final at Wembley. With his options likely to be extremely limited this season, it would be in the player’s best interest for United to facilitate another loan.
