Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has insisted he is happy with the Stamford Bridge outfit amid reports Barcelona are among clubs interested in the Italian midfielder’s services.

Jorginho joined Chelsea in the summer of 2018, signing a five-year deal with the Premier League side. He has been playing for the Blues ever since.

The 30-year-old has so far made 204 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions. He has also racked up 29 goals for the Blues.

But Jorginho’s current contract with Chelsea expires in 2023. If Jorginho and Chelsea fail to agree on a new deal, the midfielder will become a free agent next summer.

Jorginho has emphasized that he is happy in the Stamford Bridge team and said it is nice to be at Chelsea.

“I am very happy at the moment, we are all very focused on what we have to do. I am enjoying life here. I am enjoying working with everyone and I think everyone says the same. It’s nice to be at Chelsea,” the Italian international told 5th Stand.

Jorginho’s agent, Joao Santos, admitted last month that he may have had talks with Barcelona about the Chelsea midfielder. But he insisted that his priority is to extend his contract with the Premier League team.

Jorginho has appeared in 16 games in all competitions for Chelsea so far in the 22/23 season. He has made 11 Premier League appearances and also appeared in five Champions League games for the Blues.

Jorginho has also scored three goals for Chelsea this season: two in the Premier League and one in the Champions League.

The Italian has also only missed one game for Chelsea so far in the 22/23 season. He was an unused substitute when the west London side took on Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday.

Chelsea fell 4-1 in the game when manager Graham Potter’s return to Amex Stadium turned into a nightmare.

Meanwhile, Chelsea take on Dinamo Zagreb in their final match of the 22/23 Champions League group stage below. The Blues have already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League. But they will try to get the best out of the Croatian team, who beat them 1-0 in their first match of CL 22/23.

Chelsea will then host bitter rivals and Premier League leaders Arsenal at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
