Henderson on the ‘huge honour’ of making the England World Cup squad

There will be two Liverpool representatives in England’s squad for this year’s World Cup and Jordan Henderson was quick to share his pride in the call-up he received.

On his Instagram account, our captain uploaded a video of some highlights from his international career, along with the caption: ‘Great honour! We will do everything to make the country proud. ???? ???? ???? ????.

Much of the talk and debate surrounding Gareth Southgate’s squad centered around Trent Alexander-Arnold and although Scouser was also named as part of the squad, the Sunderland-born midfielder’s place was never in doubt.

Leadership, experience and obviously a lot of talent will be provided by our No. 14 and we all wish him the best in what will be a very significant day in his career so far and a tournament in which he hopes to play an important role. .

Although many Liverpool fans are not England’s biggest supporters, it is always good to see our players succeed on the international stage and hopefully one of our lads returns with a winner’s medal.

More importantly though, let’s hope none of them come back with injury problems and Jurgen Klopp has plenty of options to use once all the boys are back in Kirkby and we prepare for the League Cup tie. with Manchester City.
