Asensio to reject Juventus and Milan in favor of Real Madrid stayJuvefc.com

Since signing for Real Madrid in 2015, Marco Asensio has had his fair share of ups and downs.

Fans and observers alike were expecting his departure due to the reduced amount of play he has been receiving this season under Carlo Ancelotti’s tutelage.

Juventus and Milan are reportedly among the suitors looking to take advantage of the situation and sign the Spaniard on a free transfer once his contract expires at the end of the season.

However, there seems to be a new and unexpected twist to the saga.

According to Marca via Calciomercato, Asensio is looking to avoid the two Serie A giants and extend his stay in the Spanish capital.

The 26-year-old has so far made eight appearances in LaLiga and five in the Champions League, most as a late substitute.

Juve FC says

Asensio is undoubtedly one of the most talented wingers of his generation, but if he is willing to accept a supporting role at Real Madrid, there is little Juventus can do about it.

After all, he seems content to collect trophies left and right, while Los Merengues would also be content to retain the services of a lethal full-back who brings quality and depth to the squad.
