Arsenal are considering a January move for Facundo Torres

Arsenal are considering signing Uruguayan international striker Facundo Torres in January.

Torres only signed for Orlando City earlier this year, but the Uruguayan international has been in impressive form for the American team this season.

The 22-year-old has already scored 13 goals this season, after scoring ten times with Peñarol before joining MLS.

Despite his age, Torres has already played ten times for his country and is now drawing interest from the Premier League.

According to the Evening Standard, Arsenal are eyeing a January move for Torres as they look to target a right winger to compete with Bukayo Saka.

Saka was recently forced to play Nottingham Forest due to injury, so gravity could convince Arsenal to reaffirm their interest.

The report states that Arsenal are ready to hold talks with Torres’ agent with a view to making an offer in January.

You might imagine it shouldn’t be too compelling to move Torres away from Orlando City, but Saka’s lack of playing time as second fiddle could force Torres to weigh his options.
