Manchester United have confirmed that Anthony Martial returned to first-team training on Monday, in good news for manager Erik ten Hag.
Martial suffered an injury during Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Everton and has not featured for the Red Devils since. Against Everton, Martial made it to the starting eleven but was withdrawn in the 29th minute.
Ten Hag replaced the injured Frenchman with Cristiano Ronaldo, who would go on to score his winning goal against Everton by taking all three points. Martial, for his part, recorded an assist during his 29 minutes on the pitch.
Ten Hag was hopeful that Martial would recover and return to action before the World Cup, which starts on November 20.

Martial was pictured training at the club’s Carrington training complex with his teammates ahead of their Europa League match against Real Sociedad.
Injuries have restricted Martial to just four appearances for Manchester United in all competitions so far this season. He has already suffered three injuries: a hamstring injury, a back injury and an Achilles tendon injury.
Martial, however, has already scored three goals and registered two assists, an impressive result from a player who has only had 133 minutes of playing time this season.
Man Utd faces Real Sociedad in their last match of the 22/23 Europa League group stage. They travel to the Reale Arena to take on the Spanish team, who have inflicted a loss on the Red Devils when the two teams met earlier in the group stage.
Man Utd hosted Sociedad at Old Trafford in their first match of the 22/23 Europa League and suffered a 1-0 loss at the hands of the Spanish team. Brais Méndez scored a penalty goal to give Sociedad the three points.
Sociedad leads Group E, with 15 points from five games. Man Utd, meanwhile, are second with 12 points from five games. Those from Ten Hag need to beat Sociedad by two clear goals to become Group E champions.
Man Utd come into the game following their 1-0 victory over West Ham United in the Premier League. Marcus Rashford’s goal in the 38th minute separated the two teams and gave Man Utd three points. The victory moved the Red Devils to fifth place in the points table.
