Allegri admits Juventus win over Verona was an ugly one

Juventus manager Max Allegri admitted that their 1-0 victory against Verona yesterday was certainly not an easy victory.

The Bianconeri survived two VAR scares to secure a fifth consecutive league win and improve their position in the league table.

Max Allegri’s men have been in poor form for much of this season, but have put together a fine winning run in the league in recent weeks.

Fans are hopeful the race will continue, but it hasn’t been an easy ride for the Bianconeri.

The result against Verona could have been different if the VAR had given them a penalty, but Juve ran out of luck and won.

After the match, Allegri admitted via Calciomercato:

“It certainly wasn’t a good game on a technical level, but the guys that understood how this game should be played and played it that way were good. It is an important signal for the team. We come from an important stage with a lot of effort and many players out. The substitutions helped us, but I can’t say anything to the guys.”

Juve FC says

Verona has been difficult for Juve to beat in recent seasons and they showed once again that they know how to frustrate us.

Fortunately, we finished the game with a win and now we’ll be looking to build on that success in our next game.
