Liverpool are said to be open to giving Bobby Firmino a one-year contract extension or, potentially, a two-year contract, although a long-term deal is unlikely to be issued.
This comes from Bruno Andrade with UOL, stating that the player’s preference is to extend his future at Anfield rather than consider offers from other clubs, who will be able to do so from January given their current terms expire in the summer of 2023.
The former Hoffenheim striker has returned to form this term, racking up 13 goal contributions in 21 games (in all competitions).

At 31 years of age, Liverpool’s decision-makers are understandably reluctant to hand the forward anything beyond a two-year extension.
While we’re not talking about a talent of Mo Salah’s caliber, Firmino has been a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s successful era and you’d be hard-pressed to find many fans opposed to the idea of keeping him at L4. for a little longer.
Given that midfield will be prioritized when it comes to any transfer business over the course of the next two windows, there would be some logic attached to the notion of delaying any effort to replenish the forward three until 2023.
