Where Jurgen Klopp is during touchline ban for Southampton clash

Liverpool were disappointed after the FA won their appeal for more serious measures after Jurgen Klopp got into trouble for his angry protests directed at the refereeing team during a 1-0 win over Manchester City.

The German has since been handed a one-match touchline ban, just 24 hours before the Reds take on Southampton, and sat in the main stand at Anfield according to a tweet from Echo’s Ian Doyle.

A win today would see the Merseysiders secure their fourth win in a row this season; the first time this will have happened in the current campaign.

It’s a shame the German can’t communicate more directly with his players on the pitch, although we’re sure his right-hand man Pep Lijnders will be more than up to the challenge.

The team will then head off to what we hope will be a more than productive training camp in Dubai during the World Cup in Qatar, superbly well placed for any player leaving the competition early.
