Thiago Alcantara is loved by Liverpool fans for the magic he produces on the pitch, but he once again showed the great character he has with a poignant gesture ahead of the Reds’ clash with Napoli on Tuesday night.
On what was a cold and windy night at Anfield, as the Champions League anthem played in the stadium, it was clear that the young mascots on the pitch were feeling the effects of the weather.
This prompted our number 6, as he did against Rangers earlier this season, to take off his jacket before the game and wrap it around one of the youngsters to protect him from the wind.

It may only be a small thing, but acts of kindness like this emphasize what a great guy the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich midfielder really is.
It was great to see the reaction of one of the other pets as she stood up and smiled delightfully at what the 31-year-old had just done.
How lucky are we to have the Spaniard in the club?
