Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag believes both Antony and Victor Lindelof will recover in time for their Europa League match against Real Sociedad.

The Red Devils travel to Spain to face Sociedad in their last match of the 22/23 Europa League group stage. Manchester United must win the match by at least two clear goals to become the winner of Group E.

Man Utd has 12 points, with four wins and one loss, from four games in Group E, where Sociedad is the current leader of the table. The La Liga team has 15 points in five games, winning them all. That includes their win over Manchester United in their 22/23 Europa League opener.

Manchester United hosted Sociedad at Old Trafford in their first match of the group stage of the 22/23 Europa League campaign. The Red Devils suffered a 1–0 defeat at the hands of the visitors, with a penalty goal from Brais Méndez in the 59th minute separating the two teams.

Man Utd manager Ten Hag provided the first team news ahead of their match against Sociedad. He expects both Antony and Lindelof to be with the team when they travel to Spain for the game against Sociedad.

However, he also admitted that their availability depends on “what develops in the next few days and how they evolve.” Both Antony and Lindelof had missed Man Utd’s previous game, against West Ham in the Premier League.

“I think they will recover, but I can’t tell you more,” Ten Hag said on Sunday. “We have to see what develops in the next few days and how they progress, but I hope that when we go to Spain everyone will be on board.

“We need you all. There are still four games to go in a short period. You see that it is difficult for all the teams, but also for us, we need 11 players and we need the squad to cover everything”.

Man Utd arrive at the match against Sociedad following their 1-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford in a Premier League match.

The Red Devils secured all three points courtesy of a first-half goal from Marcus Rashford. The England international put Man Utd ahead in the 38th minute of the game, with an impressive header after an excellent cross from Christian Eriksen.

That victory moved Man Utd up to fifth place in the Premier League points table, where they have 23 points from 12 games.
