La Liga giants FC Barcelona are interested in signing Spanish right-back Arnau MartÃnez from Spanish side Girona.
Arnau MartÃnez began his football career at the famous Barcelona academy, La Masia. The youngster trained for six years at Barcelona before leaving the club in 2026.
After leaving La Masia, Arnau MartÃnez joined the Hospitalet academy. He played there for two years and then went to Girona. the right-back eventually graduated from Girona’s youth academy and was promoted to his first team.
Arnau MartÃnez gradually made his way into the starting eleven and established himself as a starter in the Girona team. Arnau put in a consistent performance as Girona finally achieved promotion to La Liga. He finally made his La Liga debut against Valencia this season.
Barcelona Intend to Sign Arnau Martinez
Now, according to a report by Futbol Total, Spanish giants FC Barcelona want to sign 19-year-old Arnau Martinez from La Liga club Girona.
After a disastrous last season, Barcelona made two quite a few signings in the last summer transfer window. Players such as Robert Lewandowski, Jules Kounde, Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie, Raphinha, Hector Bellerin and Marcos Alonso signed.
The summer signings made an instant impact as the Blaugrana got off to a great start in La Liga. they won ten of their first twelve matches. Barcelona added thirty-one points in these twelve outings and is currently in second position in the table.
However, his transition is not complete. He is visible in his recent performances in the UEFA Champions League. After winning the first match, the Blaugrana lost three of the following matches. As a result, they fell out of the group stage and will have to participate in the Europa League for the second time in a row.
