Ryan Garcia Has No Chance Against Tank Davis Says Jeff Mayweather

By Chris Williams: Ryan Garcia has no chance of beating Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis, says Jeff Mayweather.

Jeff says that Ryan (23-0, 19 KOs) will get caught between punches and get knocked out by Tank (27-0, 25 KOs), and there will be no count.

The 23-year-old Kingry Garcia would increase his chances of winning if he had the patience to gain the necessary experience to share the ring with Gervonta.

Unfortunately, Ryan is in a huge rush to fight Tank, making it clear that he is cashing in early in his career.

Since Ryan wants to retire at 26, it makes sense for him to cash out now because there’s a good chance one of the contenders will beat him if he waits.

The Tank vs. Ryan hasn’t been done yet, and it’s unclear if it will happen in December. Ryan’s promoter, Oscar De La Hoya, keeps complaining that he can’t get in touch with Tank’s management, which is a clear sign the fight isn’t looking good for December.

“I choose Gervonta all the way. I don’t think Ryan has a chance,” Jeff Mayweather told Fighthype, choosing Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis over Ryan Garcia.

“Everyone who fought Tank is taller than him. That doesn’t mean anything,” Jeff said when he was asked about Ryan’s size advantage over Gervonta.

“Tank has something that everyone else doesn’t, and that’s the equalizer. He looks nothing like Tank,” Jeff said of Ryan Garcia’s left hook.

“No matter what anyone else does, Tank only needs one. He only has to hit you once and the fight is over. I haven’t seen Ryan do anything like that, and the last time I saw him, he didn’t look that good.

“Not to hit him or anything, but still, it didn’t look good. The [Ryan] He hasn’t looked good in the last couple of fights I’ve seen. So there’s no way I’m getting on his wagon.

“Gervonta, you’ve proven your worth time and time again, so I think you have the best chance of winning. I see that Ryan probably gets caught between throwing punches. I think if Tank hits him, the fight will be over.

“I don’t think there’s going to be a count. There will be none of that. I think the fight will be the end of it,” Jeff said.
